The Chewie books are loosely based on the life of a real life Goldendoodle puppy! He knows over 20 tricks, loves belly rubs, and has a turtle shaped squeaky toy that goes everywhere with him.
Chewie was born on September 30th, 2019 on a farm in the Pacific Northwest. His mom is a golden retriever, and his dad is a red moyen poodle. He moved to his new home in the suburbs when he was nine weeks old.
Chewie does love to chew, but is a good boy most of the time and usually sticks with his bones and chew toys. He’s doing much better now that he’s getting older!
Chewie loves to do tricks, and can do over 20 of them. He needs to do them nightly to stimulate his brain and keep him out of trouble. Sometimes, he even offers up a free trick to get his people’s attention! These are Chewie’s favorite tricks: sit, dance, stay, crawl, spin, twirl, and play dead. He’s also learning how to turn off the lights!
Chewie is the type of dog that thinks he’s a person! We’ll often find him sitting on the couch, and he joins us there if we are watching a movie.
Since Chewie doesn’t shed much, his hair can get really long! He needs haircuts and brushing regularly!
